There should no delay in serving summons

Bhopal, 7 July, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Home and Jail Minister Mr Babulal Gaur has said that police should launch a drive to nab anti-social elements and illegal arms holders. Mr Gaur directed police officers not to delay serving of summons. Mr Gaur was reviewing security arrangements at rails and platforms in Bhopal district at a meeting with Bhopal SP Mr Anshuman Singh and Mr Arvind Saxena, RPF Commandant Mr R.S.P. Singh and other officers at his residence here today. Mr Gaur said that police presence should be felt in trains and platform. A drive should be launched against criminal, anti-social elements and people carrying illegal arms. The places near stations which are wander spots of anti-social elements should be identified. He directed police to realise their responsibility and be alert in duty. Mr Gaur said that lakhs of passengers and about 200 trains pass through stations of the state capital daily.

These passengers will taken message of good security arrangements from here to all over the country. We have to make Bhopal’s railway stations ideal from security viewpoint. He said that night patrolling on road to every locality should be undertaken to ensure safety of passengers who go from station to faraway localities, specially on the roads where criminals lurk. Mr Gaur said that criminals remain out of reach of law enforcing agencies since summons in petty and other crimes are not served on time. Therefore, police should not dilly-dally in serving summons.
