About 77 % voting in Madhya Pradesh in last phase of LS polls

Bhopal, May 19, 2019 (Muslim Saleem): About 70 percent voting was witnessed in Madhya Pradesh in last phase of LS polls.
In the fourth and final phase of Lok Sabha election-2019, 77 percent polling was held in 8 constituencies of Dewas, Ujjain, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Dhar, Indore, Khargone and Khandwa till 3.30 pm. In this, 60.78 males and 57.92 percent of the women voters exercised their franchise. Polling is peaceful in all eight parliamentary constituencies. In this phase, there are one crore 49 lakh voters in 18 thousand 411 polling stations where voting started at 7 am.
Before polling began, mock poll was held in all voting centers. During the mock poll, 94 ballot units, 91 control units and 260 VVPATS were replaced due to fault in EVMs in 344 polling stations. During the actual polling, 22 ballot units, 19 control units and 70 VVPATs were replaced in 70 polling centres due to fault in EVMs.
