Officers should be motivators of social change: Governor Smt. Patel

Bhopal, May 20, 2019 (Muslim Saleem): Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel has said that administrative officials should be the inspiration for development and change. They should give priority to the upliftment of the weak, poor and uneducated section of the society, empowerment of women, education, health and economic development. They should understand the needs and possibilities of solution and try new experiments and innovations. Smt. Patel was addressing trainee deputy collectors and deputy superintendents of police in Raj Bhavan today. These trainee officers are being imparted 42-days training under the 103rd Foundation Course at the Academy of Administration . Director General of RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration and Management Shri A.P. Srivastava was also present on the occasion.
Governor Smt. Patel said that the work and behavior of an officer is a source of inspiration for the common man. She said that for women empowerment self help groups should be strenghthend, recognition to the agriculture produce of the region in particular and animal husbandary along with agriculture should be encouraged.
Deputy Director of Academy of Administration, Dr. Abhay Bedkar gave the information that 25 Deputy Collector and 28 Deputy Superintendents of Police are under training in the Academy. They are being given information about the specifications, rules, innovative techniques etc. of the state. Besides this, programmes like field visits, cultural and physical activities are also being conducted.
