First installment of Rs 323 crore 64 lakh of 14th Finance Commission released to urban bodies

Bhopal, July 16, 2019 (Muslim Saleem): The first installment of Rs 323 crore 64 lakh 29 thousand of the general basic grant of the 14th Finance Commission for this financial year has been released to 378 urban bodies by the Directorate of Urban Development. About 90 percent of the amount released is based on the population of Census-2011 of the bodies and 10 percent is based on the area of the bodies.
Municipal Corporations receive Rs 152 crore 89 lakh
Rs 30 crore 8 lakh 77 thousand has been released to Bhopal Municipal Corporation, Rs 18 crore 7 lakh 35 thousand to Gwalior, Rs 4 crore 32 lakh 83 thousand to Morena, Rs 33 crore 17 lakh 30 thousand to Indore, Rs 3 crore 14 lakh 40 thousand to Khandwa, Rs 3 crore 18 lakh 43 thousand to burhanpur, Rs 18 crore 63 lakh 51 thousand to Jabalpur, Rs 3 crore 25 lakh 14 thousand to Chhindwada, Rs 3 crore 61 lakh 99 thousand to Katni, Rs 4 crore 19 lakh 5 thousand to Rewa, Rs 4 crore 49 lakh 14 thousand to Satna, Rs 4 crore 59 lakh 95 thousand to Singrauli, Rs 5 crore 16 lakh 64 thosuand to Sagar, Rs 8 crore 7 lakh 36 thousand to Ujjain, Rs 4 crore 76 lakh 65 thousand to Dewas and Rs 4 crore 11 lakh 9 thousand to Ratlam Municipal Corporation.
While Rs 94 crore 59 lakh 72 thousand has been approved for 98 Municipal Councils, Rs 76 crore 14 lakh 97 thousand has been approved for 264 city councils.
