Students should use technical knowledge in social concerns

Bhopal, July 16, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): Addressing the Chancellor’s Scholarship Distribution Ceremony at Rajiv Gandhi University of technology, Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel today said that students should use their technical knowledge in social concerns. This will give a new direction to the society. Emphasizing on the importance of tree-plantation for environment conservation, she said that 5000 saplings of Pipal, which is worshipped in Indian culture, are being planted today on the occasion of Guru Purnima, in schools –colleges and gardens of the state.
Vice Chancellor of the University Shri Sunil Gupta said that scholarships of about Rs one crore 9 lakh 20 thousand are being distributed to almost 550 students of all streams in all technical colleges of the state this year. Principal Secretary Technical Education Shri Pramod Agrawal said that it is essential to change the nature of technical knowledge according to the changing times.
While giving away titles and scholarships to the students, the Governor extended her best wishes to them for a bright future. She distributed fruits to the school children of the villages adopted by the University and planted a Pipal sapling in the premises.
