Rs 18.68 crore approved for 6 minor irrigation schemes of ST area of Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, August 3, 2019 (Muslim Saleem): The state government has sanctioned Rs 18 crore 68 lakh for 6 minor irrigation schemes of 4 districts of Scheduled Tribe area of ​​the state. after completion of these schemes, irrigation capacity will be developed in 1335 hectare area.
Rs 3 crore 40 lakh has been approved for Khokhari Barrage-2 in Burhanpur district. This will develop irrigation potential over an area of ​​265 hectares. Rs 4 crore 48 lakhs have been sanctioned for Chowki Kalegaon pond in Betul district. This will increase the irrigation capacity in ​​150 hectare area. Rs one crore 62 lakh have been sanctioned for Saikheda barrage in Khargone district which will develop irrigation capacity in ​​110 hectare area.
Three minor irrigation schemes have been approved in Chhindwara district. Out of this, an amount of Rs 3 crore 77 lakh has been sanctioned for Khermandal Barrage, Rs 2 crore 70 lakh for Junapani Barrage and Rs 2 crore 72 lakh for Beejori Barrage. These schemes will develop irrigation potential in 810 hectares of agricultural land.
