Rural sprinter Rameshwar Gurjar to get support from MP Govt, meets Minister Shri Patwari

Bhopal, August 18, 2019 (Muslim Saleem): Madhya Pradesh Olympics will be organized every year to promote rural sports talents in the state. Sports Minister Shri Jitu Patwari gave this information during a meeting with rural sprinter Rameshwar Gurjar from Narwar village of Shivpuri district who reached here to meet him today. He said that rural talents do not get the honour which they deserve as they are unable to get good opportunity, good infrastructure, good coaching arrangement and coaches.
Sports Minister Shri Patwari said that rural talents will be selected through State Olympics and they will be provided all essential facilities in the Sports Academy. Apart from this, players will be identified through sports competitions in schools in coordination with the School Education Department.
It may be noted that Rameshwar Gurjar had completed the barefoot 100 meter race in Nagar Panchayat in 11 seconds in Shivpuri district. Impressed by his talent, the Sports Minister had invited him to visit Bhopal. Rameshwar Gurjar says that his meeting with the Sports Minister has generated an infinite energy in him towards sports. Now, if he just gets a chance, he would make both the state and the country proud by taking part in any race.
Rs 80 crore approved for Sports Infrastructure Development
Sports minister Shri Patwari informed that the Centre has approved financial assistance of Rs 80 crores for Sports infrastructure development projects of Madhya Pradesh. For this, Shri Patwari has expressed his gratitude to Union Minister of Sports Shri Kiran Rijiju.
