Former Madhya Pradesh CM Babulal Gaur passes away, leaders his contribution

Bhopal, August 21, 2019 (Muslim Saleem): Babulal Gaur, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader, passed away at a hospital in Bhopal today. Gaur breathed his last at Narmada Hospital this morning.
Tributes poured in for Gaur just as the news of his death broke out. Here’s what PM Modi said: “Shri Babulal Gaur Ji served people for decades. From Jana Sangh days, he worked constantly to strengthen our Party. As Minister and CM of Madhya Pradesh he undertook many efforts to transform the state. Saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family and supporters. Om Shanti.”

बाबू लाल ग़ौर जी के देहांत से मुझे गहरा दुख हुआ। राजनीतिक जीवन में हम दो ध्रुवों पर रहे लेकिन व्यावहारिक रूप से वो मेरे दिल के बेहद क़रीब थे। जब भी मिले पूरी गर्मजोशी के साथ मिले। जो भी किया पूरी ईमानदारी से किया। ग़ौर साहब के जाने से मैंने एक राजनीतिक साथी खो दिया। श्रद्धांजलि !

Gaur served as the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh from August 2004 to November 2005. Born on June 2, 1930, Babulal Gaur was elected in 10 assembly elections from Govindpura before retiring from electoral politics in 2018 due to old age. Krishna Gaur, his daughter-in-law, won Govindpura assembly seat in 2018 as a BJP candidate.
