Center urged to release 500 crores to Madhya Pradesh for rural drinking water schemes soon

Minister Shri Panse attended the meeting of water ministers of states in New Delhi
Bhopal, August 26, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): Public Health Engineering Minister Mr. Sukhdev Panse has requested the Central Government to immediately release Rs 500 crore for completing rural drinking water schemes of the state. Shri Panse was giving information about the schemes of the state in the meeting of water ministers of the states in New Delhi today. The meeting was chaired by the Union Minister of Water Power Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
The meeting considered a strategy to make the National Water Power Mission a success. Through the mission, a resolution to provide drinking water from door to door in all rural areas of the country by the year 2024 was passed.
