Bicycle rally taken out on National Sports Day
Bhopal, August 29, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): National Sports Day is being celebrated on the birthday of world renowned hockey player Major Dhyanchand today. On the occasion of Sports Day, a bicycle rally was organized by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department in all the districts. Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Shri Jitu Patwari rode a bicycle and inaugurated the rally in Indore. He cycled from his residence to the programme venue.
Sports Minister Shri Patwari said that every person must indulge in sports. Sports bring a sense of positivity. He said that sports facilities are being rapidly expanded in the state. It is our endeavour to involve every family in sports. The state’s players are glorifying Madhya Pradesh not only in the country but also at the international level. Shri Patwari said that public participation will also be ensured in the expansion of sports facilities in the state. A better environment is being created for the game.
Cycle rally to spread message of cleanliness and environment
A cycle rally was taken out from T.T. Nagar Stadium at 7 am. on the occasion of National Sports Day. The rally was flagged off by international archer Sushri Ragini Marco, hockey player Shri Vivek Sagar and international sailing player Sushri Harshita Tomar. Director Sports and Youth Welfare Dr. S.L. Thausen, sports coaches and sportspersons took part and gave the message of environment and cleanliness to the citizens. The rally which started from T.T. Nagar passed through various routes reached board office square and turned back to T.T. Nagar Stadium.
