Woman jumps into lions’ enclosure, dances before lion

The internet is baffled to see a video of a young woman climbing inside a lion’s enclosure at a zoo and dancing in front of the animal. Goodness. Yes, you read that right. The video, very obviously, has gone viral and netizens are unable to comprehend the reason behind the woman’s ‘act of courage’.
The 13-second clip was made available on Instagram by Real Sobrino after which it was picked up by netizens and is being circulated widely across social media. In the short clip, the woman is seen standing in front of the lion – literally just a few metres away from her – inside the animal’s enclosure at the Bronx Zoo in New York.
She also jigged before turning around from the lion and proceeding towards climbing out of the enclosure.
This is so, so scary:
It shouldn’t be surprising to note that the video has been viewed over 2,400 times already. The internet is scared to death and expressed fear in the comments section of the post. With a dash of humour to go with it as well.
The Bronx Zoo, meanwhile, addressed the incident in a statement while speaking to CNN. “This action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death. Barriers and rules are in place to keep both visitors, staff and animals safe. We have a zero tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers,” the zoo said,” a zoo spokesperson said.
CNN also reports that neither the woman nor the lion were injured as a result of the incident. The Bronx Zoo, however, has filed a complaint for criminal trespass, as per a report in NYPD.
