No stone should be left unturned in campaign for Hindi: Governor Mrs. Patel

Meeting of Rashtrabhasha Prachar-Prasar Samiti concludes

Bhopal, April 11, 2018 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): During a meeting of Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti held today, Governor Mrs. Anandiben Patel said that no stone should be left unturned in the propaganda of Hindi in an effort to get the language a top position in the United Nations Organization. Hindi language is responsible for keeping the entire country together. She said that students who do not get an opportunity to appear for Hindi test in schools should be inspired to take part in the Hindi exam conducted by the Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti. Governor called upon all government officers to work in Hindi. She said that in order to establish the importance of the national language, we should first of all inspire children in our families to speak in Hindi and bring it in practice. She said that due to the tradition of getting children admitted in English medium schools neither are they able to learn to speak or write in Hindi nor do they understand Hindi. She laid stress on encouraging Hindi and Sanskrit in schools. She also suggested organizing street plays and instructed to organize Hindi workshops during summer vacations at Raj Bhavan for children. The Governor announced to raise the grant amount given to Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti by Raj Bhavan from Rs 25 thousand to Rs 50 thousand. Secretary Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti Mr. Kailash Pant gave detailed information of the activities of the committee to the Governor. President Mr. Sukhdev Prasad Dubey, Vice president and former MP Mr. Raghunandan Sharma, Secretary Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti and Hindi Bhavan Nyas Mr. Kailash Pant, former president Mr. Ramesh Dubey and other office-bearers were present at the meeting.
