CM lays foundation of Chhipaner lift irrigation scheme and dedicates group Nal-Jal Yojana
Bhopal, April 15, 2018 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a provision of Rs. 20 thousand crore has been made in the budget for the farmers,. This amount will be deposited in the bank accounts of the farmers under various schemes. The Chief Minister gave this information at a Kisan Sammelan and the foundation laying ceremony of Chipaner Micro Lift Irrigation Scheme worth Rs 516 crore 11 lakh in Gopalpur in Nasrullahganj Tehsil of Sehore district. Mr. Chouhan also inaugurated the Group Nal-Jal Yojna, costing Rs 21 crore 69 lakh and Primary Health Center building worth Rs 2 crore. The Chief Minister said that the irrigation rakba in the state is being increased to enhance the income of farmers through cultivation. Water is being provided in the fields of farmers through Lift Irrigation Schemes where it is not possible to irrigate through canals. He said that the state government respects the hard work of the farmers. Hence every possible effort is being made to conserve the interest of the farmers. Mr. Chouhan said that this is the first chance in the state when the state government has decided to give Rs 200 per quintal to farmers for the wheat & paddy crop sold last year. The work of depositing the incentive amount in the accounts of farmers will be undertaken at the district headquarters in Shajapur on April 16 . He told that this year also the farmers will be given Rs 265 per quintal incentive amount for selling wheat in the mandis. Mr. Chouhan said that the farmers will be given an incentive of Rs 100 per quintal apart from the minimum support price on the purchase of gram, red lentils and mustard on MSP.
He said that Bhavantar Yojana benefits will be given to farmers selling wheat and gram outside the mandi. Mr. Chouhan informed that in the loan settlement scheme, the state government will pay interest and compound interest on the total loan of farmers. Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan said that more than two crore workers have so far registered in the Mukhya Mantri Asangathit Shramik Kalyan Yojana. Beneficiaries of various government schemes, land lease and financial assistance for the registered workers will be provided to the registered workers and electricity will also be provided at the monthly flat rate of Rs 200.
Irrigation facility will be available in 35 thousand 62 hectare agricultural land in Nasrullaganj of Sehore district and Khategaon tehsil of Dewas district. Administrative approval of Rs 516 crore 11 lakh has been issued for the construction of the scheme. Total 12.64 cubic water will be lifted at 5 different places on the banks of Narmada river under the scheme. Pumping stations will be set up near Chichli, Karondmafi, Pipalneriya, Chhinpaner and Chourasakhedi village. Narmada water will be supplied to the fields through 6 rising mains from the pumping station.
