Transfers bonus amount of Rs. 26 crore in bank accounts of Tendu leaf collectors
Chief Minister at Tendu leaf collectors and labourers’ convention at Singruali (Sarai)
Bhopal, April 21, 2018 (Ataullah Faizan): The Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan distributed bonus of Rs. 26 crore in the bank accounts of 2 lakh 40 thousand tendu leaf collectors with single click during the Tendu Leaf Collector and Labourers’ convention held at Sarai of Singruali. He also presented footwears and water bottles to one lakh 25 thousand tendu leaf collectors and forest rights deeds to the beneficiaries. Mr. Chouhan helped Kalavati and Digpal wearing footwears. While making announcement for construction of bypass and opening of ITI in Sarai, Mr. Chouhan said that increase has been made in the wages of tendu leaf collectors. An amount of Rs. 2000 per standard bag will be given in place of Rs. 1,250 now. He further mentioned that footwears will also be given to Mahua flowers collectors. Mr. Chouhan gave instructions to give forest rights letters to each eligible person. CM Mr. Chouhan stated that more than 4 lakh labourers have been registered in Singruali district under the scheme of the state government. Assistance will be provided to them for education, treatment and maternity and under the various schemes.
He said that pucca houses will be provided to labourers dwelling in kuchcha houses and huts during the next 4 years. Singruali will get over 17 thousand houses every year under the scheme. Mr. Chouhan informed that free electricity connections will be given to 56 thousand families of the district in the month of October under the Soubhagya Yojana. Poor person has to pay electricity bill at the flat rate of Rs. 200 per month now.
CM Mr. Chouhan dedicated construction works worth Rs. 14 crore 30 lakh. Along with this, he laid foundation of construction works costing Rs. 165 crore. At the beginning of the programme, Mr. Chouhan performed Kanya Poojan and received applications from the people present on the occasion. Those who present on the occasion include Minister for industry Mr. Rajendra Shukla, Member of Parliament Mrs. Riti Pathak, MLAs Mr. Rajendra Meshram, Mr. Ramlallu Vaish, Mr. Kunwar Singh Tekam, Chairman Vindhya Development Authority Mr. Subhash Singh and Mayor Mrs. Premvati Khairwar.
