Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan reviews scheme in detail
Bhopal, April 25, 2018 (Muslim Saleem): The Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Asangathit Shramik Kalyan Yojana is an important humanitarian scheme of the government. Benefit of this scheme should be ensured to all the eligible labourers. Mr. Chouhan gave instructions during review of Asangathit Shramik Kalyan Yojana at Mantralaya today. Mr. Chouhan mentioned that regular monitoring should be conducted to ensure better implementation of the scheme. Applications received under the scheme should be call out in gram sabhas. The eligibility of beneficiary should be considered from April 1, 2018. He further said that adequate funds will be made available for implementation of the scheme. Mr. Chouhan gave instructions to organize programmes in each district in connection to the scheme to spread awareness among the labourers. It was informed in the meeting that applications from 2 crore labourers have been received under the scheme till now. Gram sabhas will be organized to call out the names of the labourers on May 2. After one month, one more gram sabha will be organized on June 10. Campaign for registration will be conducted in all the divisions except Gwalior division till April 25. This campaign will be conducted in Gwalior division till April 30. After calling out applications in gram sabhas, all the beneficiaries would be considered eligible except beneficiaries against whom objections are received. Objections will be redressed on May 3 and 4.
One nodal officer in each Janpad and Nagar Panchayat will be appointed by the Labour Department under the scheme. Conventions will be held in each district to spread awareness among the labourers under the scheme, in which the Chief Minister will hold direct dialogues with the labourers. Chief Secretary Mr. B.P. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Mr. A.P. Shrivastava, Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Mr. Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Labour Mr. Ashvini Kumar Rai, Principal Secretary to CM Mr. Ashok Varnval, Principal Secretary Transport Mr. Malay Shrivastava and officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
