Mahi River to be linked with Narmada River: CM Mr. Chouhan

Convention of Labourers of unorganised sector and Tendu leaf collectors held at Mangod of Dhar district

Bhopal, May 29, 2018 (Muslim Saleem):  Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan during the convention of Labourers of the unorganised sector and Tendu Leaf Collectors held at Mangod of Dhar district, has said that Mahi river will be linked with Narmada river. Protsahan amount of Rs. 256 per quintal on wheat, Rs. 800 per quintal on garlic and Rs. 400 per quintal on onion will be deposited in the bank accounts of the farmers of the state. CM Mr. Chouhan further mentioned that poor will be made owners of residential land by providing pattas to them. Houses will be provided to 37 lakh 50 thousand poor within the next 4 years in the state. Moreover, he said that 10 lakh houses will be provided each year to poor in the state under the Chief Minister Awas Yojana.  Informing about the Mukhyamantri Jan-Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana, Mr. Chouhan stated that all the labourers of the unorganised sector will be benefitted under this scheme. Self verification will be carried out by the beneficiary. Apprising about the education arrangements for children of poor category, Mr. Chouhan informed that school and college fee of such students will be borne by the state government. Every child of poor will get an opportunity to pursue higher studies. One lakh youth will be linked with self-employment.

Training will be provided to poor under the National Rural Livelihood Mission. He appealed people to avail maximum benefits of the schemes and cooperate fully in the development of the state.  Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan dedicated development and construction works costing Rs. 145 crore and performed bhoomi poojan of works worth about Rs. 145 crore for Dhar district.  Mr. Chouhan distributed benefits of various schemes to over 13 thousand beneficiaries in the convention. He also presented foot wears and water bottles to over 8 thousand tendu leaf collectors. Moreover, Mr. Chouhan distributed land rights deeds to 4975 landless persons of Dhar district.

Minister In-Charge of the district Mr. Antar Singh Arya, Member of Parliament Mr. Subhash Patel, MLAs Mrs. Neena Vikram Verma, Mrs. Ranjana Baghel, Mr. Velsingh Bhuriya, Mr. Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, Mr. Kalu Singh Thakur, President of Dhar Jila Panchayat Mrs. Malti Mohan Patel and President Badwani Jila Panchayat Mrs. Latadevi Rawat, other Public Representatives and villagers in large number were present during the convention.
