Resolution taken to make Van Vihar plastic free on world environment day
Bhopal, June 6, 2018 (Ataullah Faizan): Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Mr. Shahbaz Ahmed administered oath to all officers, employees for not using polythene, single use plastic and making Van Vihar plastic-free zone on World Environment Day. On the occasion, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Mr. Dilip Kumar and director of Van Vihar Mrs Samita Rajora were also present. Mr. Ahmad and Van Vihar management distributed SS bottles to all officers and employees for not using plastic bottles. Matkas (earthen pot) have been placed at different places for drinking water for workers in Van Vihar. Plastic-free material to be used at kiosk.Directions have been issued to sell food items in nature-friendly material like dona, pattal and wooden spoon, on the place of plastic plate and spoon in authorised kiosk in Van Vihar. Officers-employees cleaned Van Vihar. Director Mrs Samita Rajora, and officers-employees of Van Vihar cleaned Van Vihar campus on World Environment Day.
Polythene bags, pouch, plastic bottles were collected in Swachhata Abhiyan for making Van Vihar plastic-free zone. All the officials and staff at Van Vihar had worn t-shirts carrying message ‘Say No To Single Use Plastic’ on World Environment Day. These attractive T-shirts were getting people’s attention. Retired Assistant Forest Conservator, Mr. AK Khare conducted the programme.
