CM Mr. Chouhan shares vision for development

Focus on entrepreneurship, employment generation, smart villages, protection of rivers, health and education

New warehousing policy to be rolled out

Bhopal, June 6, 2018 (Muslim Saleem):  Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, sharing his vision and approach for development, said that attention will be paid on extension of irrigation facilities, environment protection, river protection, smart villages and generation of employment in entrepreneurship. He said that there is need to work speedily on health and education sector. Chief Minister was addressing today a programme organised by a media institution. Mr. Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh has achieved new record of development in the last fifteen years. The availability of energy has become 18 thousand MW. People used to face darkness earlier. Today, electricity is available round the clock. Farmers are getting sufficient water. Today, irrigation facility is provided to 40 lakh hectares. The Chief Minister said that investment is arriving in Madhya Pradesh thanks to provisions of state’s industrial policy. Global investors’ summit played significant role in it. In last two years, investment to the tune of Rs two lakh crore has been made. It has been made in IT, pharma industry and food processing sectors. He said that new logistics policy is being framed.

The Chief Minister answered the questions of audience. He said that teachers, police personnel will be recruited soon. The law would be framed to control recovery of excess fee by private schools. Monitoring system will be put on place for quality education in engineering colleges so that students can get good education. Reply on a question, the chief minister said that execution of cyber law will be reviewed soon for control of cyber crimes and discussion will be made with information technology expert so that effective control can be made in crime against women in social media and other media.

Mr. Chouhan said that private  sector should not have monopoly in public transport. Public transport system will be made more strengthened. Talking about quality of education, the Chief Minister said that a fully equipped school is being set up in Betul on experimental basis. Children of surrounding villages will be brought for study. Transportation facility will be provided to them. This experiment will be executed across the state in case of being successful.

 The Chief Minister said that polls for assembly and Lok Sabha elections should be held together. There should be funding from the state for elections. He said that constant elections cause obstacles in framing long term development plans and stop development in state. Also, entire energy is used in elections and time and resources both are wasted.
