Youth power should be used in country’s development- Governor

Convocation ceremony of Sri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, concludes

Bhopal, June 10, 2018 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):  Governor Mrs. Anandiben Patel said at the convocation ceremony of Sri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya in Indore today that our country is the largest country with youth population in the world. It is the need of the hour to make better use of youth power in the formation of new India. The Governor called upon the youth to be cultured and make active contribution in social service. They should come forward to eradicate the social evils and superstitions rampant in the society. Mrs. Patel presented degrees to the students at the ceremony. While wishing the best for the bright future of the students, Mrs. Patel said that the students should also study and conduct research with regard to the implementation of developmental and welfare schemes so that the realities of the implementation of the schemes can be ascertained. She said that 10 subjects each should be given to the universities for research and study in this regard. She said that there is need for the universities to start new courses. She said that skill development centres should be opened and placement camps should be organized in the universities.

The Governor distributed fruits to TB patients and anganwadi children present at the convocation. She said that the affluent class of the society should come forward and help the TB patients. It is the moral responsibility of every section of society to free the state of tuberculosis. Sri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya adopted 10 Tuberculosis patients on the occasion and announced to provide nutritious meals to them for 6 months regularly and announce their treatment.
