Yoga brings peace and strength to the mind – Governor Mrs. Patel

Governor takes part in Yogabhyas programme in Raj Bhavan premises

Bhopal, June 18, 2018 (Ataullah Faizan):  Governor Mrs. Anandiben Patel has said that Yoga is the cheapest and simplest way to keep the body free from diseases. Yoga gives peace and strength to the mind. Good thoughts arise in the mind. It creates interest to work in a person. Mrs. Patel told that our sages and monks have also kept their heart and mind healthy by practicing yoga and their penance and worship led to their long life. The Governor was addressing the exercise programme today before the Yoga Programme to be held on June 21, 2018 on International Yoga Day. Officials, employees and dignitaries of Raj Bhavan took part in the yogabhyas programme held today in the Raj Bhavan with the Governor. Yoga Guru Rajesh Jain Trilok conducted the Yogabhayas programme. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s Yoga day message was also broadcast on this occasion. Governor Mrs. Patel said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has made Yoga a public movement and has called for connecting people and strengthening the bond of humanity. The entire global community is together in support of celebrating the first International Day of Yoga on June 21.

Many people and organizations around the world are working towards making the first International Day of Yoga a memorable day. The Governor has urged the people of the state to ensure maximum participation in the Yoga programme to fulfil the Prime Minister’s Yoga Day resolve for June 21. Secretary to the Governor Mr. Bharat Maheshwari and a large number of Yoga followers were present on the occasion. About 500 men and women practised yoga during the programme.
