Legal action to be taken against contractors for delay in projects’ construction works: CM Mr. Chouhan
Bhopal, June 20, 2018 (Muslim Saleem): The Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has reviewed progress status of major Development Projects of Water Resources, Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana, Integrated Power Development Project, Industrial Area Development, Public Works Department and Public Health Engineering in Pragati Online at Mantralaya today. He gave directives to take legal action by holding accountability against the contractors for delay in construction works of various projects and to place them in the black list. It was informed during the Integrated Power Development that excellent works have been undertaken under the Soubhagya Yojana in Ujjain and Sehore district. Electricity is available at each house of each village in both the districts. Mr. Chouhan instructed to complete road construction projects speedily. While reviewing the Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana, CM Mr. Chouhan said that we should consider implementation on vertical housing scheme now as it is must to save land for future. He further mentioned that efforts should be made to settle issues related to land acquisition and compensation with the mutual consent of land owners.
The Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan also reviewed works under the Amrit Yojana, Water Supply Project and Industrial Areas. It was informed in the meeting that development works of 23 industrial areas are at different stages. Work of I.T. Park at Indore has been completed. An investment of about Rs. 2 thousand 500 crore is estimated in these industrial areas. The Chief Minister mentioned that the state will witness major transformation after completion of these major projects of the main sectors of development. Chief Secretary Mr. B.P. Singh and Principal Secretaries of the concerned departments were present on the occasion.
