PM dedicates approximate Rs 4000 crore Mohanpura major irrigation project in Rajgarh

Bhopal, June 25, 2018 (Muslim Saleem):  Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi today paid tribute to Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee on his 65th death anniversary, while dedicating Mohanpura major irrigation project costing worth approximate Rs 4000 crores in Rajgarh district. The Prime Minister said that the Government of India will fulfill the dreams of the countrymen on the lines of Dr. Mukherjee’s thoughts. Education, health and safety will be the priority of the Government of India so that the youth get good high education and they can always remain dedicated to serve the society.He said that there should be coordination between Vidya, Vitta and Vikas (Education, Finance and Development), there should be similarity in the ideologies of the educational institutions and industrial organisations only then can the country be strengthened economically. Mr. Modi said that the previous governments had forgotten the contribution of several great personalities like Dr. Mukherji in the development and making of the country. Our government will fill this gap. We will realise the dreams of the country’s great personalities and sons of the country. The first work of the government is public service and taking the standard of living of people higher.

Prime Minister Mr. Modi said that fulfilling the dreams of citizens is our highest priority. We will not repeat the shortcomings of the previous governments. People’s capabilities and resources will not be ignored. Looking at the large gathering of farmers and villagers at the dedication ceremony, Mr. Modi said that now there is no place for people who spread lies, illusions, and despair in the society. The countrymen have expressed their faith in our policies. We will not let this belief break at any cost.

Prime Minister Mr. Modi said that micro-irrigation system will be promoted in the country to ensure maximum use of every single drop of water of irrigation projects for irrigation. He said that presently irrigation facility is being provided in ​​25 lakh hectare area through micro-irrigation system. Out of this, 11 lakh hectare area is of Madhya Pradesh. Referring to the recent discussion with farmers held recently, Mr. Modi said that women farmers of Jhabua district’s tribal region have created a record of advanced farming of tomatoes through drip irrigation system.

He informed that the currently 35 lakh farmers are availing the benefits of Prime Minister’s crop insurance. An integrated network of over 575 krishi upaj mandis has been created in the country, in which 58 mandis of Madhya Pradesh have been connected through the network. The Prime Minister said that through this system farmers will be able to sell their produce directly in the Mandi. He informed that financial assistance is being provided to people with bank guarantee in the Mudra bank scheme. In this scheme 45 lakh farmers of Madhya Pradesh have availed the benefit.

Praising the efforts being made for the betterment of poor, labourers, needy and farmers of Madhya Pradesh Prime Minister Mr. Modi said that Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has done a remarkable job of bringing the state out from the category of ‘Bimaru’ state. Mr. Chouhan is playing the role of a real ‘Sevak’ in service of the state. Government of India lauds these efforts of Mr. Chouhan.
