Madhya Pradesh lauded for implementation of GST
Bhopal, July 8, 2018 (Ataullah Faizan): Union Finance Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal has said that GST has brought all the sections to the same level. GST has proved to be a system that enhances the dignity of citizens. He urged the traders’ community to bring tax defaulters to light and give bills mandatorily to the consumers. Mr. Goyal was talking to the traders’ community here today. He said that the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has resolved to build a new India. He said that the traders should extend support in realizing the dreams of the Prime Minister through organized business. Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Finance Minister Mr. Jayant Malaiya, Revenue Minister Mr. Umashankar Gupta besides representatives of various traders associations were present on the occasion. Praising Madhya Pradesh for implementation of GST, Mr. Goyal said that the state has played an important role in GST implementation and established trade-friendly systems. He said that most issues related to GST have been resolved within one year. He said that the clarity relating to GST that has come over the traders’ community in one year is an achievement in itself. Earlier there was confusion. Mr. Goyal said that Prime Minister Mr. Modi and the then Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley held serious discussion over all the aspects and after a lot hard work and courage carried out the work of implementation.
Approval of political parties, various ideologies and suggestions of the business world were included to implement GST. This will turn out to be revolutionary step for the future of India. He said that the success of GST is an outcome of the mutual support of both the traders’ community and the consumers. Implementation of GST was being discussed since several years in the country but a situation of confusion prevailed. Today there is more clarity regarding GST. He said that after one year of initial success now the time is coming to avail its benefits. Regarding suggestions given by the traders Mr. Goyal said that the issue will be considered with an open mind.
