Irrigation arrangement for 14.20 lakh acre to be made for Dewas, Ujjain, Shajapur and Agar district

Bhopal, July 10, 2018 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that a financial assistance of about Rs. 35 thousand crore under the various has been deposited in the bank accounts of farmers of the state during the last one year. Mr. Chouhan has mentioned that the state government has carried out the impossible work to facilitate Kshipra river with Narmada water. With the blessings of Narmada Maiyya, potable water is available at Dewas today conveniently. He further mentioned that a irrigation scheme has been prepared from the Narmada-Kalisindh Part -1 and Part -2 and Narmada –Gambhir Part -1 and Part-2 besides Narmada Malwa-Kshipra Part -2 Link Projects for irrigation in Dewas, Ujjain, Shajapur and Agar district. Irrigation facility on about 14 lakh 20 thousand acre will be provided under the various stages. Mr. Chouhan stated that the entire pattern of crops will change in these districts in the next 5 years after the irrigation arrangement. Mr. Chouhan was addressing the ‘Kisan Maha Sammelan’ held at Dewas on Sunday. CM Mr. Chouhan said that efforts are being made to export agriculture produce to provide profitable value to the farmers. An Export Promotion Board has been constituted in this connection. He mentioned that efforts are being made to encourage establishment of food processing units in the state.
An arrangement is being made to provide loan to 30 thousand children of farmers this year under this scheme. Informing about the benefits being given under the Mukhya Mantri Jan-Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana implemented for unorganized labourers and poor, Mr. Chouhan mentioned that every poor will own his/her pucca house in the next 4 years. Fee of labourers’ children for higher education will be paid by the government.
He informed that camps are being organised to waive off electricity bills of all poor and labourers under the Bijlee Bill Maafi Yojana. A provision of death penalty has been made, if anyone commits heinous crime with innocent girls. Death penalty has been awarded to the culprit, who committed heinous crime with the girl at Sagar. Mr. Chouhan urged the huge gathering present on the occasion to save daughters, to give respect to girls, to save water, to build new Madhya Pradesh and to make agriculture a profitable occupation.
Minister of State for Technical Skill Development (Independent Charge), School Education Mr. Deepal Joshi, Member of Parliament Mr. Manohar Untwal andMLA Mrs. Gayatriraje Pawar also presented their views in the Maha Sammelan. The CM Mr. Chouhan also performed bhoomi-poojan of 3 roads costing Rs. 34 crore 81 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. He started certificate distribution work of insurance claim of over Rs. 552 crore for Kharif-2017 under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana to about One lakh 6 thousand farmers of Dewas district.
He also distributed certificates of insurance claim amount to the beneficiaries symbolically. Sanction letters worth Rs. 25 crore 26 lakh were distributed to 2105 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana during the Maha sammelan. Along with this, certificates to 5 beneficiaries of Mukhya Mantri Bijlee Maafi Yojana and gas connections to 2 women beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana were given symbolically.
