Governor sees children’s cultural programmes at Raj Bhavan

Bhopal, August 15, 2018 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):  Various cultural programmes focusing patriotism were presented by the children of employees and officers of the Raj Bhavan on the eve of the Independence Day at Raj Bhavan in the presence of the Governor Mrs. Anandiben Patel. The Governor watched the presentation with utmost joy and enthusiasm and appreciated it. Mrs. Patel also observed art exhibition of children, who emerged as winners of the competition held at Raj Bhavan during summer season. The Secretary to the Governor Mr. D.D. Agrawal, Eminent Citizens and people in large number were present on the occasion. This is the first occasion in the history of the Raj Bhavan that cultural programme was held at Raj Bhavan on the eve of Independence Day.

The solo plays based on tales of personality and sacrifices of Freedom Fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh Rani Durgavati, Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi and others were showcased by the children during the cultural programme. Tunes of patriotism were presented on orchestra during the programme.

Keeping in view the crowd and enthusiasm among the common man to visit the Raj Bhavan, the Governor Mrs. Anandiben Patel has given order to keep the Raj Bhavan open for the commonman till August 16. Earlier order was released to keep the Raj Bhavan open from August 11 to 15. Keeping in view the government programmes in the afternoon at Raj Bhavan on the occasion of Independence Day, the entry for common man has been allowed in the evening from 7.00 p.m.
