Fifth convocation of MP Bhoj Open University held
Bhopal, September 29, 2018 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Governor Mrs Anandiben Patel said that universities should make students able to fare well in competitive examinations along with providing education. At present, students of remote places hesitate in participating in competitive examinations. This hesitation will be removed by boosting their confidence and increasing knowledge. The Governor said this in the fifth convocation of MP Bhoj Open University today. She conferred upon degrees to meritorious students in the convocation. Governor Mrs Patel said that the convocation is not for mere taking degree. The students should take resolution for social reform on this occasion. When students give attention on solving problems of the society, the right importance of education will be proved.
She called upon students to take resolution for not wasting food and water and pay attention on cleanliness. The Governor asked teachers to motivate students to study courses of their choice. She said that distance education system is the one in which student can get education in any age. Working women and others working in farm can take benefit from this system. The governor said that there is no age for getting education. That’s why male and female of all category should take benefit. Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National (Open) University, New Delhi, Dr Nageshwar Rao said that technology should be used more and more in university. He said that today our country is on the top in terms of power of youth.
Students should face the coming challenges before the country by getting higher education. University Vice Chancellor Mr. DD Agrawal shed light on the university activities and said that motto of MP Bhoj Open University is to avail education opportunity to male and female and students living in remote areas. Mr. Agrawal administered convocation oath to students and delivered convocation speech. Students arrived from remove places, parents, teachers and prominent persons were present in the convocation.
