Election Commission of India on state tour on November 13 and 14

Bhopal, November 14, 2018 (Ataullah Faizan):  Chief Election Commissioner of Election Commission of India Mr. O.P. Rawat, Commissioners of Election Commission, Mr. Sunil Arora and Mr. Ashok Lavasa will reach Indore on November 13 on a two-day tour of the state to review the preparations for the Vidhan Sabha elections 2018. Deputy Commissioner of the Election Commission Mr. Sandeep Saxena, Mr. Sudeep Jain, Mr. Chandrabhushan Kumar and Director General Mr. Dilip Sharma and Mr. Dhirendra Ojha will also accompany them. Chief Electoral Officer Mr. V. L. Kanta Rao said that the Commission will review the electoral preparations of 18 districts of Indore, Ujjain and Narmadapuram division from 2 pm on November 13. Divisional Commissioner, Inspector General of Police, District Election Officer and Superintendent of Police will be present in the meeting.  The Election Commission will depart from Indore and reach Bhopal in the evening and will conduct meeting with recognized national political parties at Jehanuma Palace at 7.30 pm.

The Commission will review election preparations in 33 districts of Gwalior, Chambal, Bhopal, Sagar, Jabalpur, Rewa and Shahdol division on the next day, that is Wednesday, November 14, at 9.30 am at Minto Hall, Bhopal. The Commission will conduct a meeting related to election expenditure with nodal officers from 4.00 pm to 4:30 pm and with the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police of the state from 4.30 pm at Minto Hall.
