Bhopal, November 14, 2018 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Election Commissioner of the Election Commission of India Mr. O. P. Rawat, Commissioner duo Mr. Sunil Arora and Mr. Ashok Lavasa reviewed the preparations for the assembly elections -2018 in Indore, Ujjain and Narmadapuram divisions of Indore. The Commission instructed to hold free, fair, peaceful and transparent elections. Deputy Election Commissioner of the Commission Dr. Sandeep Saxena, Mr. Sudeep Jain and Mr. Chandrabhushan Kumar, Director General Mr. Dilip Sharma and Mr. Dhirendra Ojha, Principal Secretary Mr. Anuj Jaipuria and Chief Electoral Officer, Madhya Pradesh Mr. V.L. Kantarao were also present at the meeting.
The Election Commission reviewed district-wise basic facilities available in the electoral rolls and polling stations, EVMs and VVPAT’s, SVEEP campaigns and various training, election expenditure, monitoring, implementation and compliance of Model Code of Conduct, law and order and security arrangements. Chief Election Commissioner Mr. Rawat, Commissioner duo, Mr. Arora and Mr. Lavasa also reviewed the model of Adarsh polling station being constructed in Indore district after the meeting. In order to generate awareness among voters in Indore district, a campaign of getting 10 lakh signatures in a day was started off with the signatures of Chief Election Commissioner of Election Commission of India Mr. O. P. Rawat, Commissioner duo Mr. Arora and Mr. Lavasa also.
