CM Shri Kamal Nath signs file to write off farmers loans on day-one

Order to waive off short term loan of farmers upto Rs. 2 lakh issued , 
Chief Secretary to lead Committee for agriculture loan waiver , 
Giving 70 per cent jobs in industries to local residents of State made mandatory,  
Kanya-Vivah-Nikah Yojana grant hiked from Rs. 28 thousand to Rs. 51 thousand

Bhopal, December 17, 2018 (by Muslim Saleem): After taking oath, Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath, today took important decisions regarding agricultural loan waiver, scope of employment generation and hike in the amount of Kanya Vivah and Nikah Yojana. As regard to the agriculture loan waiver, the Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department has issued an order today itself to waive off farmers’ loan upto the limit of Rs. 2 lakh taken by the farmers till March 31, 2018, in the form of short term crop from the nationalized and cooperative banks, who are found eligible as per the eligibility fixed by the state government. Approximately 34 lakh farmers will be benefitted by this decision of the state government. An expenditure between Rs. 35 to 38 thousand crore is estimated on crop loan waiver.
Chief Minister Shri Nath has formed a committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary to implement the scheme of agricultural loan waiver with immediate effect. This committee will implement the Agricultural Loan Waiver scheme immediately. Shri Kamal Nath said that agricultural debt waiver was our significant election promise, which we will fulfill soon.
Four Textile/Garment Parks to be set up
Looking at the possibilities maximum employment generation in the Textiles/Garment Industry, Chief Minister Shri Nath has decided to set up Textile / Garment Park in four divisions of the state. These parks will be set up in Mohna Industrial Area of ​​Dhar district in Indore division, Acharpura Industrial Area of ​​Bhopal district in Bhopal division, Lehgadua Industrial Area in Chhindwara of Jabalpur division and Jaora Industrial Area of ​​Ratlam district in Ujjain division.
70 percent jobs to local residents made mandatory now
Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath has taken the decision to make amendments in the Industry Promotion Policy 2018 and MSME Development Policy- 2017 with the purpose of making maximum jobs available to the youth of the state. According to the amendment, it will be mandatory to give 70 percent of the jobs in the industrial units taking financial and other facilities from the state government to the permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh.
Amount of Kanya Vivah-Nikah Yojana hiked to Rs 51 thousand from Rs 28 thousand
Making amendments in the Kanya Vivah and Nikah Yojana, Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath has taken the decision to increase the grant amount from Rs 28 thousand to 51 thousand for betterment of the girl child. Along with this, the girl child will also be provided assistance in single and mass marriage taking place as per the prevailing marriage system in all tribal areas. Also, the restriction of income limit in the scheme has been scrapped. Now all those who solemnize their marriage in mass marriages will get the benefits of the scheme.
