Minister Shri Jaivardhan Singh demands allotment of Rs 700 crore under PMAY

Bhopal : January 21, 2019 (Muslim Saleem):  State’s Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Jaivardhan Singh on Monday met Minister of State (Independent Charge) Shri Hardeep Singh Puri in New Delhi and discussed departmental schemes implemented in the state. Shri Singh demanded allotment of total Rs 712 crore in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).

Shri Singh urged allotment of Rs 600 crore as first installment and second installment of Rs 112 crores for about one lakh houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). He urged the release of the second installment of Rs 29 crore 51 lakhs of financial year 2018-19 under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihood Mission.

Shri Singh urged for release of additional allotment of Rs 14 crore 32 lakh to complete the target of construction of 25 thousand 160 community and public toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission. Shri Singh quoted revised cost of the public toilet as the reason behind the demand for additional allotment. He also apprised the Minister with the updated status of the urban development schemes. Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Shri Pramod Agarwal was also present.
