Bhopal : February 4, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): Scholarship of 40 thousand dollar per annum will be given by the State Government for pursuing 2 years PG course and research course in foreign countries by selecting 20 meritorious students every year. Thirty eight thousand dollar annually in the form of scholarship and 2 thousand dollar for books, necessary equipments, typing and binding of research material besides other expenses has been included under this.
A decision has been taken to introduce the scheme from the academic session 2019-20. Those meritorious under graduate and post graduate students of Madhya Pradesh domicile, who have secured over 75 percent marks can now apply for higher studies abroad. Offline applications with complete documents for scholarship have been invited till February 10.
Necessary qualifications for scholarship
It is mandatory for the applicant to secure over 75 percent marks in UG/ PG course for pursuing studies abroad. Age limit of 25 years and 35 years has been fixed for PG student and research degree respectively for scholarship. Total annual income of parents, guardian, wife/husband of applicants from all the sources should not exceed Rs. 5 lakh. It is mandatory for applicants to qualify GIE, GMAT, TOEFL and IELETS. Selection Committee will select shortlisted students of merit list on the basis of interview.
Applicants can pursue studies in recognized institutions of such countries which have diplomatic relations with the Government of India. Students are required to make efforts themselves for the courses mentioned under the scheme. Moreover, students are required to obtain visa of country themselves, where they wish to pursue studies. It should be mentioned clearly in visa that student is obtaining visa for the purpose of education. Scholarship will be released on the basis of student visa only.

Students can enroll themselves for higher education in the fixed educational institutions of Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, Netherland, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, U.K. and America.
