This was Rahul Gandhi’s first visit to the state after the Congress formed the government in Madhya Pradesh in December last year after a gap of 15 years.

‘Cong govt is pro-poor, pro-farmer. “The Congress government doesn’t belong to a certain party but it is a propoor, pro-farmer, pro-women government,” said Jyotiraditya Scindia at Aabhar Sammelan in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
At 3:16 pm, Rahul Gandhi reached venue of the farmers’ rally Jamboree maidan and met people at the helipad. Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Congress state-incharge Deepak Babaria were among others accompanying him.

On Wednesday, Congress hoarding portraying party president Rahul Gandhi as a “Ram Bhakt” surfaced in the city ahead of his visit to Bhopal on February 8.  The hoarding also portrayed Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath as “Hanuman evam Gau (cow) Bhakt”.
