Looted lakhs of rupees recovered from looters

Bhopal : February 19, 2019: Miscreants involved in robbery of Rs 7.33 lakh cash from an Indore based trader on January 28 were nabbed and recovered bike used in the crime and Rs 5.39 lakh cash from their possession on Monday, said DIG Bhopal Irshad Wali while speaking with the media persons during press conference at police control room on Tuesday.
DIG Wali said that acting on a tip off the two miscreants were narrowed down and one of the miscreant identified as Rajkumar Prajapati (22) was nabbed from Mangalwara area and recovered Rs 2.8 lakh cash, bag of the victim used to carry cash and one mobile phone from his possession and when he was quizzed he confessed name of other accomplice Sonu Kumar Mahawar (19) from Itwara and from his possession Rs 2.59 lakh cash, one mobile phone bought from the robbed money , Bajaj Pulsar motorbike bearing registration number MPO4QQ2304 used in the crime.
The remaining cash was spent on gambling and buying of goods by the two miscreants.
Rajkumar used to work at shops at Azad Market and Hanumanganj Mandi for the past three years which made him aware of the traders who used to carry cash and deal in big amount of money. He has been booked under section 308 of the IPC by Silwani police of Raisen district.
Sonu used to work at a tea stall in Mangalwara area. His crime record and details would be searched in the further investigation.
