EPCO organises useful environmental Camps for Children in National Parks

 Bhopal, March 3, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): In the State’s National Parks in December, January and February, the National Planning and Coordination Organization (EPCO) organized camps under National Green Corps during which, about 650 children were giveninformation about nature and environment. In these camps, children also got information about the conservation of wildlife with biodiversity.
These camps were also held in Sailana Sanctuary, Ratlam and Seoni Sanctuary, Dewas with Satpura, Kanha, Pench and Bundhavgarh National Parks. Each camp had a participation of 50 eco-club students. Special programs were held in Seoni on 16th of January and in Balaghat district on 24th January. 250 teachers were invited in these programs. Teachers were also given special information about the environment, biodiversity, conservation and nature of wild animals. These teachers were asked to give children information about the environment in their respective schools.
These camps were organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. During this time children were taken on a tour of the National Park and they were given special information about wildlife and their conservation. It was informed on behalf of EPCO that in the month of March this year, children’s nature tours will be organized. Preparations are being made for this. The Environment Planning and Coordination Organization is operating under the Environment Department.
