Kisan Samriddhi Karyakram to be inaugurated on March 5

Bhopal, March 4, 2019 (Ataullah Faizan): The Kisan Samriddhi Karyakram will be inaugurated in a one day workshop to be held on Economic Empowerment of Marketing Cooperative Societies and Business Development at Minto Hall on March 5. The Minister for Cooperatives, General Administration and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Govind Singh will grace the programme as the Chief Guest. The Principal Secretary Cooperatives Shri Ajit Kesri and Commissioner Cooperatives Shri Kedar Sharma will be the special guests.
The workshop will begin at 10.30 a.m. at the convention center Minto Hall. The Managing Director of the State Cooperative Marketing Federation Smt. Swati Meena Nayak has informed that besides the Kisan Samriddhi Karyakram, presentation will be given by the APEX Bank on the schemes of the NCDC and on financial linkage of marketing cooperative societies. In connection with the procurement on support price, deliberations will take place with the members of the cooperative societies and office bearers. She further informed that the Information and Technology revolution has given a new definition to the business equations of the economy. The foundation of the ‘Kisan Samriddhi Karyakram’ is being laid by the Marketing Federation by incorporating new techniques in agro-business. The mobile platform named Agri Bussiness is being made available to the farmers to update them with better market value of crops and to connect them with market system. The quality based accumulation of the crops will be made through marketing societies and the marketing of the accumulated crops in the integrated form will be done by the Federation. This will help in enhancing the collective purchasing power of the farmers and better value could be found from the mandis and traders of the entire country.
Farmers to get retail network
A state wide retail network will be provided to the farmers by linking marketing societies in a systematic manner with agriculture business through ‘Kisan Samriddhi Kendras’. This will facilitate farmers to obtain information about the agriculture input products available in the market in wide range like fertilizer, seed, pesticide and agriculture equipments etc. The Samriddhi Mobile App will also be provided, which could be linked in future with the online supply of products
