Truck collides with Bolero killing 8 people of same family

Kondagaon / Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh): The collision between Bolero (CG7T 4099) and truck (MH 48N5389) near Dudhgaon in NH30 killed 8 people of a single family sitting in the Bolero. An injured patient is being treated in the district hospital. The incident took place around 8:30 pm on Friday night, near Dudhgaon, 6 km from Kondagaon.
It was so tremendous that three people died on the spot. At the same time, both truck and Bolero were stuck in one another. After the incident, with the help of passers-by, somehow the injured were evacuated from the vehicle. Two more people died while taking the hospital At the same time, 3 more people died during treatment. 9 people were present in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
According to eyewitnesses, around 8:30 pm, overtaking a vehicle near Dudhgaon, the speeding truck hit Bolero vehicle coming from Farasgaon. After the collision, it climbed nearly 8 meters and dragged it forward. After the incident the truck driver fled the vehicle. On the other hand, the passersby informed the police and ambulance the phone and got involved in the help of the injured.
Five women and two men die
Among those who died were two other people, including Bolero driver Sundar, Basanti Baghel, Lalita, Chhaya, Laxeshwari and Khushboo. It is being told that all are from the same family. The body of the driver was caught in the Bolero, which the efforts to remove continued till late in the night. According to the injured, this family belongs to Bilaspur, who was returning from thier acquaintance’s house in Farasgaon here. Since the incident, a long jam was witnessed on both sides of the NH. The police reached the spot, cleared the way.
