Mr Arya at 3rd construction labourers convention at Barwani
Bhopal, July 11, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Now, Madhya Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board will give Rs. 15 thousand assistance to construction workers for toilet in their own houses. This was announced by Labour Minister Mr. Antar Singh Arya while addressing 3rd construction workers convention at Barwani today. Earlier, conventions have been held at Bhopal and Dhar. Next convention will be held at Khargone on July 11. MLA Mr. Bala Bachchan was also present. Minister Mr. Arya said that the state government is implementing 22 welfare schemes for labourers. Labour conventions are being held since June 29 in all the districts to apprise labourers of these schemes. Mr. Arya gave away cheques for assistance to purchase cycles to 16 labourers and Rs. 25 thousand to one labourer under Marriage Assistance Scheme. Labour Commissioner Mr. K.C. Gupta, Secretary Mr. S.S. Dixit and Collector Mr. Ravindra Singh informed about Construction Workers Welfare Board’s maternity and marriage assistance schemes, incentive money for education, cash awards to meritorious students, ex-gratia on death and assistance for funeral, medical assistance, Mukhyamantri Bhavan Evam Sannirman Karmkar Ki Grameen Evam Shahari Aawas Yojana, skill development training, rewards for success in exams of State and Public Service Commissions, pension scheme, Super-5000 Scheme, assistance for study in vocational courses, Nirman Pithaseen Shramik Ashray, construction labourers’ night shelters, sportsmen incentive, assistance to purchase tools/equipment, assistance for coaching in professional courses, assistance for purchasing cycle and two-wheeler etc. They also urged labourers to get themselves registered with Janpad Panchayat or urban bodies to avail benefits of these schemes. Registration fee is only Rs. 10 for 5 years. Special arrangements for registration under Pradhan Mantri Bima and Pension schemes were also made at the convention.
