Training to girl students of school for excellence

Bhopal, 8  July, 2015 (Muslim Saleem): In this computer age, women should be internet savvy to fulfill daily needs in minimum time. The state government has launched second phase of e-Shakti in the form of a campaign. Under the campaign, 5 lakh girl students and women of the state will be made aware and trained in handling computer and internet this year.Secretary to CM and Science & Technology Mr Hari Ranjan Rao stated this while holding discussions with girl students at the launch of second phase of e-Shakti Abhiyan under “Digital India Week” at Subhash Higher Secondary School for Excellence here today.  Mr Rao said that with internet available on mobiles also, women can use the facility to meet their daily needs. He urged internet savvy girl students and women to apprise women in their neighbourhoods about it.

The Secretary informed that Madhya Pradesh government has made a number of services online through mobile app. As a result, people will not have to do rounds of offices to get their works done. Chief Minister Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to make online all government services through mobile app. Bharti Airtels’ CEO for Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh Mr Veer Inder Nath said that internet makes society strong, advanced and aware.

It reduces dependence on others. Internet literacy among women and girl students will bring about changes in society at a rapid pace. Principal of School for Excellence Mrs. Sunita Saxena lauded government’s effort to make girl students and women internet savvy. She urged them to take advantage of it. Staff of Bharti Airtel gave detailed training to girl students regarding internet, e-mail, Facebook, Whatsapp etc.
