CM hands over keys of pucca houses to urban poor
Bhopal, August 13, 2015 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave possession of pucca houses to the urban poor by handing over keys of houses to them in 12 Number area here today. Mr. Chouhan announced to name the residential complex after late Mr. Kushabhau Thakre. The Chief Minister said that the government will bear 5 percent on interest on loan taken by beneficiaries to who have obtained loan at 10 percent interest rate to pay their share of cost of house. Due to it, their monthly loan installment will come down to Rs. 900 from Rs. 1200. He said that donors will also be included in the list of beneficiaries. No poor person will be without roof. He also announced to open primary and middle schools in the complex. Directing for early completion of under construction houses, Mr. Chouhan said that strict action will be taken against the contractors who delay the work. He directed to ensure sanitation and constitution of residents association for better management of the complex. The association will work in tandem with the government. He said that strict action will be taken against Jhuggi mafia. Mr. Chouhan said that 50 thousand houses for the urban poor will be constructed at Bhopal and 5 lakh in the state.
Patta of land will be given to the urban poor who are residing on a land possessed by for over a year. The Chief Minister said that the poor need not worry about housing and education. Paucity of funds will not be allowed to impede education. Poor children have right to education and good jobs. He administered oath to residents to educate children and keep complex clean. He expressed gratitude to those who helped the poor obtain houses. MLA Mr. Surendranath Singh said that campaign is underway to make Bhopal slum-free under leadership of the Chief Minister. Mayor Mr. Alok Sharma said in the welcome address that beginning has been made to give houses to every poor person. He assured of every possible cooperation to fulfill Chief Minister’s resolve to provide house to every poor person.
