Video-conferencing with chief secretaries
Bhopal, August 27, 2015 (Muslim Saleem): Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has lauded Madhya Pradesh thrice during last 6 months at video-conferencing with Chief Secretaries held to review progress. In the first video-conferencing on March 25, the PM had lauded Ease of Doing Business in Madhya Pradesh describing it as an initiative worthy of emulation. Under it, a workshop was held at Academy of Administration in the presence of Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan where participation of various departments’ representatives was ensured. The 98 points prescribed for reforms by the Prime Minister were implemented. Ease of Doing Business covered 150 issues. Described it the best way of solution, the Prime Minister had asked other states to follow suit.
On April 22, the Prime Minister lauded Madhya Pradesh again for excellent work of providing forest rights letters to tribals with the help of satellite mapping. The PM had lauded the state when informed that using satellite imagery Madhya Pradesh has disposed of 90 percent of 5 lakh 93 claims, which was maximum in the country. Certificates for rights over 17 lakh hectare land were given. Of these, 7.50 lakh were individual and 10 lakh community claims. Through a campaign, the state had obtained 73 lakh claims in just 2 months.
Pattas were also distributed against 90 percent claims. The certificates contained satellite maps and beneficiaries’ photographs, which was considered as novel work. For the third time, Prime Minister Mr. Modi lauded effective implementation of CCT NS (Crime and Criminal Training Network System) in Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister holds video-conferencing Pro-active Governance and Timely Implementation (PRAGATI) every month of concerning Central government’s Secretaries and Chief Secretaries of states.
