Training imparted on electoral aspects during summary revision

Bhopal, August 28, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan):  On the directives of Election Commission of India, 2-day training to master trainers got underway at CEO office pertaining to special summary revision-2016. Joint Chief Electoral Officer Mr. S.S. Bansal launched the training. Master trainers of districts were given detailed information about including and deleting names in electoral rolls and rectifying errors. Mr. Bansal directed to exercise utmost caution during revision. He said that voter list work is a continuous process. Caution should be exercised in filling of Form-6 for including names of new voters. Mr. Bansal also called for proper training of BLOs for revision. Master trainer Mr. R.N. Singh and Ashta High School principal Mr. Rakesh Thakur informed about importance of e-roll and Revision-2016. Betul district’s master trainer and lecturer Mr. Vijayant Kumar Thakur and Mr. Prabhas Jain of CEO Office informed about use of IT in preparation of electoral rolls.

Jhabua district’s master trainer lecturer Mr. Lokendra Singh Chouhan informed about errors committed during preparation of electoral rolls and their solution. Harda district’s master trainer DEO Mr. B.N. Sharma informed about roll of EROs/AEROs/BLOs. Morena’s Deputy District Election Officer Mr. Pankaj Sharma informed about quality and revision of electoral rolls. Assistant Professor and master trainer from Bichhiya Dr. Dilip Dube said that role of officers linked to revision should be effective. Tikamgarh district’s master trainer Dr. R.P. Tiwari informed about role of officers in disposal of claims and objections. Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Mrs. Malika Nagar asked master trainers that officials linked to this important work of Election Commission should also undertake self-evaluation.
