Urges to safeguard women
Bhopal, August 29, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has extended greetings and best wishes to state’s people on Raksha Bandhan. Mr. Chouhan said that this festival signifies high cultural values of India. The festival inspires us to renew our commitment to protecting sisters’ respect and dignity and sisters’ wish for brothers’ long life. This strengthens emotional bonds in society. Mr. Chouhan said that the state government is committed to ensuring women’s honour and respect and working towards this in right earnest. Public Relations and Energy Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla has extended greetings to people of the state on Raksha Bandhan. Mr. Shukla said that the festival marking sacred ties between brothers and sisters in Indian culture, is the festival of protection of sisters and wish for long life of brothers. Urging people to celebrate the festival with traditional fervour, Mr. Shukla has called for promoting and protecting sisters and daughters.
