Every possible effort in state to promote Hindi
CM Mr. Chouhan at session “Hindi in administration”
Bhopal, September 12, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Hindi unites all. It is human right to use Hindi in administration in Hindi speaking areas. He said that every possible effort will be made to promote Hindi in Madhya Pradesh. Mr. Chouhan was addressing session “Hindi in Administration” at 10th Vishwa Hindi Sammelan here today. Scholars put forth valuable suggestions on the subject. The Chief Minister said that comprehensible language should be used in administration. For this, a dictionary of simple words of Hindi used in administration will be compiled. He said that he and officers will make correspondence with Central Government in Hindi.
Similarly, efforts would also be made for all nameplates, technical estimates and publication of government documents in Hindi. Prof. Chandrakala Padiya said that a country can progress only when its language is international. Language is carrier of culture. She said that knowledge of references is very necessary for Hindi translation. Prof. Mahendra Pal Sharma said that Hindi opposes no Indian language. He stressed the need to increase use of technology and practice.
Vice Chancellor of Makhanlal University of Journalism Prof. Brij Kishore Kuthiala said that training of Hindi should be made mandatory for non-Hindi speaking officers coming from other states. Hindi scholars and Hindi lovers from various regions put forth valuable suggestions for use of Hindi in administration. The session was moderated by Mr. Harish Naval. Health Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra and other public representatives, Chief Secretary Mr. Anthony de Sa, Principal Secretary Culture Mr. Manoj Shrivastava, other officers and representatives were present on the occasion.
