Bhopal, September 18, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): MP Power Management Company Limited and solar power producer Narbhe Ram Vishram Partnership Firm signed 2 separate power purchase agreements (PPAs) for 30 MW solar power at Jabalpur today. First PPA of Narbhe Ram Vishram Partnership Firm for 10 MW was signed for Rs. 5.39 per unit and second for 20 MW for Rs. 5.38 per unit. Company’s Additional General Manager Dr. Naveen Kohli and Assistant Manager of Narbhe Ram Vishram Partnership Firm Mr. Saurabh Modi signed the PPAs. It is noteworthy that recently PPAs for 26 MW solar power were signed with 4 solar power companies. Company’s Additional General Manager Mrs. Reeta Khetrapal, Deputy General Manager Mr. V.K.S Parihar and Manager Mr. R.K. Sharma were also present on the occasion. The company had invited tenders for availability of 300 MW solar power recently. Under the PPA signed today, Madhya Pradesh will get 30 MW solar power at prescribed rates for 25 years. Both solar power plants will be set up at Alot in Ratlam district. They would start generating 30 MW solar power in next 18 months. The firm said that first 10 MW plant will generate power from March 2016 and second from September 2016.
