Campaign for eviction of government houses intensified

Home minister issues directives to vacate 33 houses

Bhopal, January 6, 2011 (Muslim Saleem):  The State government has intensified the campaign for evicting illegal squatters occupied government houses built and maintained by public works department (PWD). The home minister Mr. Uma Shankar Gupta is reviewing periodic progress from time to time in this regard. Mr. Gupta apprised himself of action taken so far against illegal occupied people at Mantralaya today. The houses should be vacated from the people whose period of allotment is over, the minister asked the officials. The government servants, who have been transferred to other places and their time periods of allotment expired, should be served notices for vacation. Besides, concerned departments of servants should also be informed about the non-cooperation so that disciplinary action can be initiated against them in this regard.

It was informed at the meeting that 33 houses, which are to be evicted, have been identified by the Samda. The home minister instructed to evict illegal occupants as soon as possible. On the other, it was decided at the meeting that three colour photos for house allotment format-7 should be made mandatory. Besides, three passport colour photos and detailed information in new format should be taken from present occupant. Sampda director Mrs. Renu Tiwari and allotment officer Mr. Promod Shukla were present at the meeting.
