lead7.4.11Bhopal, April 7, 2011 (Muslim Saleem):  The Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has given instructions to ensure availability of drinking water in urban and rural areas during summer and chalk out action plans for the critical areas. Mr. Chouhan asked the commissioners and collectors to send proposals to the relief commissioner for financial assistance to ensure transportation of dirking water in case of crisis. He gave these instructions through video conferencing Samadhan Online programme at Mantralaya here today. The Chief Minster asked the collectors to have coordination with the Department of Energy for uninterrupted functioning of electricity-based tapped water schemes. He gave instructions to repair the hand pumps and stop water wherever possible.

Mr. Chouhan asked the collectors to ensure that the farmers do not have any problem during procurement of wheat. Any problem or complaint must be brought to notice at state level for prompt disposal. He said that the farmers get payment for their produce in 24 hours. The documents required for purchase of wheat on support price, bonus on wheat, phone number of call centre should be informed to the farmers. Mr. Chouhan asked the collectors to monitor the procurement process ensuring purchase of wheat only from the farmers and availability of bags in adequate number.

He said that surplus wheat of last year’s should be transported to the districts having adequate storage facility. The Chief Minister asked the collectors to speed up land acquisition process to facilitate setting up of 24 integrated border check posts. He instructed the collectors of Rewa, Seoni, Anuppur, Morena, Burhanpur, Neemach, Bhind, Betul, Datia, Chhidnwara and Balaghat to ensure possession of acquired land to the concerning agency in a week. He said that the land acquisition process for construction of check posts in Mandla, Chhatarpur, Rajgarh, Badwani, Dindori, Sagar and Shajapur must be completed in two weeks. He gave instructions to immediately provide land for control rooms in Gwalior and Indore.
