State govt’s priority to ensure water of Bansagar at each village – Mr. Shukla

Bhopal, April 7, 2011 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):   Minister of state for energy and mineral resources Mr. Rajendra Shukla has said that the state government’s top priority is to ensure water of Bansagar to each and every village and agriculture field. Mr. Shukla was addressing a gathering after performing ‘Bhumipujan’ for miner and sub-miner canals at Kanji, Kasihai and Kandela villages of Rewa district the other day. After the completion of these canals, a total of 5141 acre land of 32 villages will be irrigated. Mr. Rajendra Shukla said that the water of Bansagar has been put on top priority to ensure every village and field. The farmers can develop their irrigation capacity with an increase in agrarian production. The farmers will become prosperous.

With the water of Son river, there will be green revolution and fields will wear a green look in the region like Punjab. Energy Minister Mr. Shukla instructed the officials of concerned agency to complete the works of canal within stipulated time. He also appealed the villagers to cooperate for the construction of canals and not creating any hindrance. Mr. Shukla said that there will be available water for livestock during the summer after releasing water through canals. On this occasion, Sarpanch of Gam Panchayat, Janpad members, rural public representatives, S.D.O and senior officials of Bansagar were present.
