Ujjain’s public representatives urged Chief Minister
Bhopal, September 26, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan urged by a delegation of public representatives from Ujjain regarding conversion of Ujjain-Fatehabad metre gauge to broad gauge here today. The Chief Minister assured the delegation to make efforts regarding conversion. It was informed that the metre gauge line is lying close for about one and half years. After conversion, broad gauge double line will start between Indore and Ujjain. Due to this, distance of north and south-bound trains will be reduced by about 400 kms. Circle train can also be started between Indore and Ujjain for better transport facilities to commuters between these stations. The delegation comprised School Education Minister Mr. Paras Jain, MP Mr. Chintamani Malviya, MLA Dr. Mohan Yadav, Ujjain Mayor Mrs. Meena Jonwal, Ujjain Development Authority’s Chairman Mr. Jagdish Agrawal, Ujjain District BJP President Mr. Iqbal Singh Gandhi and Mr. Vijay Goyal.
