CM Mr. Chouhan reaches South Korean capital Seoul


lead5.10.15Bhopal, October 5, 2015 (Muslim Saleem):   Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached South Korean capital Seoul today. He held discussions with embassy officers about his 3-day Seoul visit. Officers informed him that large number of Korean companies are interested to meet him. Indian Ambassador to Korea Mr. Vikram Doraiswami also held extensive discussions with the Chief Minister regarding his visit. The Chief Minister will hold discussions with over 30 prospective investors during the 3-day visit. On October 5, Mr. Chouhan will visit Samsung headquarters at Suwon and inspect Samsung Innovation Museum. Mr. Chouhan will visit Songdo Smart City at Incheon Economic Free Zone and also visit Songdo Smart City. He will be accompanied by Industries Minister Mrs. Yashodhara Raje Scindia and a high level delegation.

The Chief Minister will hold discussions with South Korean business community and invite them to Global Investors Summit to be held at Indore in 2016. Mr. Chouhan will visit Samsung Electricals Company. It is a multinational electronics company of South Korea headquartered at Suwon. It is the major subsidiary of Samsung which contributed 70 percent of its revenue in year 2012. Since year 2009, it is the largest information technology company in respect of revenue. Samsung Electronics has assembly plants and sales networks in 80 countries with about 3 lakh 70 thousand employees. It mainly produces Lithuanian battery, semiconductors, chips, flash memory and hardware devices.
