Don’t show favours towards negligents  

lead5.1.12Bhopal, January 5, 2012 (Muslim Saleem):  Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has cautioned officers that people should not wander about for getting their problems solved. The officers keeping files pending should be ready to face action. Jan-Sunwai (public hearing) should be made more effective. Commissioners and Collectors should themselves undertake monitoring and should not show favours towards negligent officials.  Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan was addressing the officers after redressing people’s problems through videoconferencing under Samadhan Online Programme here today. Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan elicited information through direct online interaction with beneficiaries of 15 districts.

Mr. Chouhan instructed to penalise the officers found guilty of delaying cases. Several people’s problems were also redressed through this process. Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan instructed the officers to effectively monitor the schemes for the welfare of the poor, disabled, students and girls. Collectors and Commissioners should undertake tours to ascertain that necessary facilities are delivered to the people in time.

Mr. Chouhan instructed the officers to ensure delivery of schemes’ benefits to eligible beneficiaries within the prescribed time-limit. Arrangements for bonfire should be made during the cold wave wherever required. Collectors should take rounds during the night to oversee the arrangements. He instructed for immediate survey and actual assessment of losses to crops in the districts hit by hailstorm. Proper arrangements for distribution of urea should be made. He instructed them to ensure delivery of services within time-limit under Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act and payments to labourers in construction works should not be delayed.

Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan said that Vikas Yatras will be taken out in the state from February 1 to 20. The Chief Minister, the Incharge Minister and MLAs will take part in this three-tier campaign. Instructions were given for chalking out systematic outlines for Vikas Yatras. He said that officers should have better dialogue with the people and give priority to solving weaker sections’ problems. The government employees should not wander about to get their dues after retirement.
